Downloading a Business Card Template in Word

Open up Word, click on the Office Jewel, and select New from the menu. In the left hand Templates column, select Business Cards and Word will show you the business card templates available for download.
For our example here, we will be using the Flourish Design template. Notice that the template contains 10 business cards per page and is compatible with Avery business cards numbers 5371, 8371, 8871.
Choose a Word Business Card Template
Click the Download button in the lower right hand corner and agree to the template’s license. Notice that Word automatically lays out the business cards on the page according to Avery’s dimensions and specifications. Also notice that the business cards are made up of text boxes that you can edit individually.
Click the Download Template Button in Word
You’ll notice that the template indicates what information should go into each textbox. Click on the textbox labeled Company Name and type in your own name or the name of your company. Do the same for the rest of the textboxes until you have a completed business card.
Edit the Word Business Card Template
You can, of course, copy the information to the remaining 9 cards to create a uniform appearance for all of the cards. However, as mentioned above, using a template such as this allows you to customize the cards you create to contain only the information you want.
Suppose that you want to hand out some information on your business card to one person but other information to another. This can occur, for example, if you want current clients to have one phone number but want new clients to call another. The same is true for e-mail addresses, web addresses, or other contact information such as IM names.
One of the other great features about printing your own business cards with a Word template is that you can print as many you need. Having your business cards professionally printed can cost you more in the long run when your information changes and you need to discard your current cards to order new ones.
Using a Word template to print your own business cards means that you only have to print as many as you need. When your information changes, you can update the template, print new cards, and not have to wait for your new cards to be delivered before handing them out.
Printing business cards from a Word template is the perfect solution for a home office, when working on a budget, or when the information on your cards is likely to change in the near future.
Downloading a business card template into Word that is compatible with an Avery product is that much more convenient because you won’t have to struggle with aligning the information or guessing at where to put the information on your cards. A time and money saver, Word business card templates and Avery products can get you back to more important work.
